September 15, 2011:	Competition announcement and launch.
January 6, 2012, 5pm PST:	Research Competition submission deadline.
February 29, 2012:	Digital Media and Learning Research Symposium, San Francisco. Winners are expected to attend.
March 1-3, 2012:	2012 Digital Media and Learning Conference, San Francisco. Winners are expected to attend.
Date TBD:	Research meeting. (Travel funds to be in submitted budget).
March 2013 (dates TBD):	2013 Digital Media and Learning Conference. (Travel funds to be in submitted budget). Winners are expected to attend.

This HASTAC competition is supported by a grant from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation to the University of California, in collaboration with Duke University. The University of California Humanities Research Institute and Duke University's John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute are the principal administering bodies for this grant on behalf of HASTAC.
